Biography
Francesca is the Founder & Lead Consultant, Governance at Leading Boards, Africa.
She is an MBA(UMI), Advocate, Chartered Secretary and Chartered Governance Professional. She brings on board over 14years working experience in providing legal and governance solutions to national and multi-national Boards of Directors and companies across Africa, both in the private & public sector.
She is a member of the International Bar Association, a fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute (United Kingdom) and a member of Uganda Law Society and East African Law Society.
She currently sits on the Board of World Vision Uganda, Vision Fund Uganda where she chairs the Governance, Nominations and Human Resource Committees, Mbeleni Foundation where is Chairperson and Fravan Safaris Ltd as a director.
Francesca is passionate about governance and its contribution to creating high performing organizations. She is excited to be part of our LBA team in the steering role.

Corporate Lawyer, Chartered Secretary and Corporate Governance Consultant with vast expertise in advising management and Boards of Directors on compliance with corporate governance standards, governance regulation and all Board and shareholder matters. Chartered Governance Professional and Associate Member of the Chartered Governance Institute of UK and Ireland (2016).

All aspects of the company’s corporate governance, including processes related to the Board of Directors, Board Committees and Executive Leadership.
Supporting organizations to operationalize the corporate governance framework.
Coordination, preparation and distribution of notices, agendas, board papers, proxy forms, resolutions, and minutes, and shape content along with other key stakeholders for Board of Directors and committee meetings.
Director recruitment, onboarding, ongoing support and Board evaluation processes.
Preparation and maintenance of Board documents including Charters, Manuals, Minute Books, Related Party, Beneficial Ownership and Associates Registers, Shareholder Register, Director Register etc.

Background as an advocate/solicitor and qualified to provide general legal advice on all corporate and commercial aspects of the organization including shareholder transactions, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and project finance and compliance audits.
